CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Even before we had Foodpanda and GrabFood, Cagayan de Oro City and some parts of Mindanao were not late in having the convenient innovation of ordering food just by tapping on an app. StreetBy is one of the pioneers and well known “super app” in Mindanao that allowed customers to order food and avail of other delivery and booking services all through its mobile app.
StreetBy was downloaded by thousands of customers who are able to choose from a variety of local restaurants and food merchants. The app also now offers groceries and personal shopping as it partnered with local supermarkets, and provided other services such as laundry and parcel delivery. StreetBy also touts itself as a “lifestyle app” that gives options to travelers of what their destination or locality can offer.
This week, an update of the app on both the iOS and Android hinted at an upcoming version 3.0.

A Facebook post from a user in Cagayan de Oro, Mr. Raven Duran of XDevs and Code ta Bai, gave a sneak peak of what StreetBy 3.0 could be. It turns out that Mr. Duran is one of the invited beta testers for the new version of the app. He expressed excitement on how the new app is snappier and has less bugs. He also noted on the easier and more intuitive navigation, real-time order monitoring, auto confirmation, and more promotions on the upgraded app. Despite issues on the previous versions of the app, Mr. Duran is rooting for the success of StreetBy as it is truly a local app that can know better on what the local market wants or needs.
