The momentum continued on Friday, December 6, 2025, as Day 2 of DevFest CDO focused on technical deep-dives and entrepreneurial grit. The morning opened with a fascinating look at Smart Cities and urban innovation, followed by an inspiring “Founders Talk” from Josan Astrid, who shared valuable lessons from their journey in the startup ecosystem.

The afternoon sessions were a highlight for the software developers in attendance, offering a choice between technical tracks at the EGM Sports Bar and the Main Hall. Technical experts shared practical insights on cutting-edge Google technologies. Vrijraj Singh (GDE Firebase & ML) kicked things off with “Getting Started with Gemini CLI,” while Aye Hninn Khine (GDE AI) taught attendees how to build chatbots for local businesses using the Gemini API. Sanket Bisne (GDE Google Cloud) further explored the ecosystem with a session on unlocking cloud efficiency using ADK and Gemini CLI.
The day then shifted toward the entrepreneurial spirit with Hannah Mae Hormiguera’s session, “Two Weeks, One Vision: The Sprint That Became a Startup,” which left the audience with a practical roadmap for turning ideas into reality.
The success of such a large-scale event relied heavily on a network of dedicated volunteers from GDG CDO and other organizations. Partners like DevCon Bukidnon, Zenith Technologies, and Balangay Tech Tribe helped bridge the gap between students and professionals throughout the festival.
With interactive booths, mascots, and plenty of networking, the event successfully blended rigorous technical learning with a strong sense of community spirit. Day 2 was the perfect conclusion to an incredible festival, leaving participants with fresh technical knowledge, new inspirations and connections, and a shared vision for the future of technology in the region. Indeed, Google Developers Group CDO’s DevFest has proven yet again that it is the biggest annual event for tech professionals and students in the region.
